Juma Khan Raisani senior leader of BNP gunned down, man killed in Dera Bugti

Occupied Balochistan: Unknown armed men shot dead senior leader of Balochistan National Party (BNP) Jumma Khan Raisani and three others in Gizigi area of Khuzdar, about 300-kilometer south of Quetta. According to local police officer Mr. Qambar, Jumma Raisani was on his way back home after offering Jumma prayers when unknown armed men opened fire on his vehicle. Resultantly, Mr. Jumma, his two security guards identified as Mohammad Ishaq, Mohammad Zareef and driver Mohammad Baksh received serious bullet wounds and died on the spot. “Initial investigations suggest that assailants were already lurking near Gizgi area close to Khuzdar Degree College who ambushed BNP leader and opened fire,” a senior police officer said. Police personnel rushed to the spot soon after the incident and cordoned off the area. The deceased were taken to District Headquarters Hospital for autopsy where a score of BNP activists assembled. They chanted slogans against government and its functionaries. “It could be a case of targeted killing,” an official said.

According to local journalists, the Baloch-Musala Defa Army had claimed the responsibility for the killing. Its spokesman who introduced himself as Mir Jang Baloch said his organization carried out this attack and warned that such attacks will continue in future. The Balochistan Musalah Defa organization had also claimed responsibility for the killings of Baloch missing persons whose bullet-riddled bodies were found dump in desolated place.

The president of Balochistan National Party Sardar Akhtar Mengal condemned the killing of the BNP CCC member Haji Jumma Khan Raisani. He alleged that the killing of BNP worker is reaction of his yesterday’s statement which he gave about the missing persons. Balochistan National Party has announced the five days mourning.

Man killed three injured in Dera Bugti blast: A man was killed and three others sustained injured when the vehicle of pro-government Amn force was attacked with a remote controlled bomb fitted to a motorcycle in Bugti colony of Sui on Friday. According to official sources, unknown persons attached a remote controlled device to the motorbike and parked it on the road. They detonated the device when vehicles carrying members of Amn force passed by. As result four people received serious injuries and were rushed to PPL hospital Sui for treatment where one of the injured identified as Nadeem Bugti succumbed to his injuries on arrival.

The police and security forces reached the spot after the incident and threw a cordon in the area for manhunt. The injured include Jamal Bugti, Nawaz Bugti and Mohammad Hussain Bugti. The condition of the injured are stated to be out of danger. “The blast was amid at Commander Bhai Khan Bugti of Amn force. However, he escaped unhurt in the attack,” sources added. The pro-government militant group is engaged in maintain peace in the restive Bugti agency. However, the Baloch militants considered the members of force as enemy and backed by government. No group has so far claimed the responsibility for this attack. Law enforcement agencies had taken 12 suspects into custody for questioning.

Mobile phone tower's room blown up: Unidentified armed men have blown up room adjacent to tower of a mobile phone company in Barkhan on Friday. Unknown gunmen came at the place where tower of a mobile phone company was installed; they forced the two security guards, Yar Muhammad and Musa, on gunpoint to leave the room adjacent to the tower and later blew it up with explosive material, Barkhan police said. No loss of life was reported. The attackers managed to escape. The law enforcement personnel rushed to the site and cordoned off the entire area to trace the suspects out.
